Every year our club gets invited by the Wiesbaden Community Spouses Club at the Wiesbaden Army Airfield Community Activities Centre to join them at the Thanksgiving Luncheon and Christmas Tree Raffle. What a wonderful event!! The Christmas Tree, or wreath raffle is the biggest money making event of the Spouses club.
All clubs and organizations of the Army( and we also) are decorating a tree or wreath. The guests buy raffle tickets for the special tree they want and than put their ticket in the box of the chosen tree. The very costly trees are auctioned off And it is lots of fun to watch how the prices go up and up. So the club makes a great amount of money - and for all of us, it is lots of fun.
